It definitely feels like fall here in Minnesota lately.
The air is crisp, the leaves are turning, and I’m breaking out the boots.

I’ve always loved this season, but since moving into this house I’ve appreciated it even more. We only share our street with two other houses, so the view from our windows is largely unchanged from the days when this area was just an undeveloped forest.

The first year we were here I was surprised to see so many people pull up next to our house and line up for fall family portraits, but I’ve since grown accustomed to it. The color in my backyard can’t be beat, and I don’t blame them for wanting to capture it on film. I can’t wait to share it with you all in a couple of weeks when it hits its autumnal peak.
We’ll be in the backyard soon taking our own family pictures for holiday cards – do you get them done every year?
I’m once again linking up with Lindsey from the Pleated Poppy. Stop in and check out all the fun.
