Fun Finds on Friday

It’s Friday! What’s even better than Friday? A Friday that’s also a holiday. Happy Good Friday to you all!

Because of the holiday weekend, I found some Easter inspired crafts and recipes for you all to try for this week’s Fun Finds round up. They all look to be pretty simple – exactly the kind of craft I need in my life right now.

First up? Spring oreos. Vanilla oreos? Good. Melted white chocolate? Good. Combining the two? Sounds good to me!

Easter Oreos, your home based mom

This Easter banner, from Creations by Kara, even has ‘easy’ in the title. I like easy. I can do easy. And it’s pretty and festive too!

Wondering what to do with all that leftover Easter candy? How about mashing it up, melting it down, and making it into one ginormous nummy treat?

Easter Candy Bark, gingerbread bagels

Aren’t these carrots cute? We’ve always got tons of construction paper on hand around here, so this would be easy to whip up without an extra trip to the store for supplies.

And because no Easter seems complete without a bit of chocolate, something to make you smile.

Happy Easter, everyone! I’m so thankful for the reason we celebrate – what a gift it is to have been given the gift of grace.

  • I just got back from vacation (and have seriously been researching cheap flights – without luck – to leave again because it’s so stinking cold here!). Tammy’s headed out in a few weeks to a warm destination. So we both have the tropics on our minds. We thought we’d put together a handy little vacation… [Continue Reading]

I am proud to say she wasn’t glued to her phone… this time, she was glued to a newspaper! What? Yes. Adaline and… [Continue Reading]

  • As I mentioned last week {here}, we were invited to the Twin Cities Oscar Experience 2015. It proved to be a fabulous soirée with food, Hollywood fashion and most importantly… giving back to the community! All proceeds are split between non-profits, Twin Cities Film Fest and Aegis Foundation. Cate was unable to attend at the last minute… [Continue Reading]

  • Someone take me back to Arizona asap. Seriously – it’s so stinking cold here in Minnesota! I love my home state, but when you board a plane in 80 degree weather, and return to -5 degrees, it’s rough going. I know, I know – I’m not going to inspire sympathy from many around here. After… [Continue Reading]

  • I’ve shard in the past my struggles with sleeping. (check out this post – our readers shared TONS of great ideas for getting better sleep at night!) There is nothing like the feeling of being well rested. And if there is any time I’m going to catch up on my zzz’s, it’s while I’m on… [Continue Reading]
