For the last two months, I’ve heard everyone I know (including myself) complain again and again about the incredibly hot, super dry summer we’ve had. It’s been quite unusual for us Norwegian folk.
Yesterday it rained. And rained and rained and rained.
And amazingly enough, every Facebook status was: “I wish this rain would stop! I want to go outside.”
Crazy Minnesotans. We just don’t know what we want. Or maybe we just like to complain.
I’ll tell you what I DO want. I want more opportunities to wear my rain boots. Cuz they’re cute. And I love ’em.
Bring it, rain. I’m ready for ya. In my cute boots and everything.

Are you rain weather ready with some cute boots?
Rain, rain, go away! Come again some other day! Did you know that the nursery rhyme has a bunch of different versions? This is the 17th century one: raine raine goe to Spain: faire weather come againe. another early one goes like this: Rain raine goe away, Come again a Saturday. How about this 19th century version: Rain, rain, go away. Come again another day. Little Arthur wants to play. Another one goes like this: Rain, Rain, Go away; Come again, April day; Little Johnny wants to play.
How did you grow up singing the song? Which version is your favorite? Any way you sing it, if you pair it with a pair of super cute rain boots, I’m happy to hum along!
