Girl’s Night Out

I went out to dinner the other night with a few friends – and oh! It was a much needed night.

I’m so blessed to have friendships where we can laugh and cry and talk about everything from fashion to faith (and pretty much every topic in between) all in one conversation. Friends that don’t think I’m crazy for taking outfit pictures in the bushes outside the restaurant before we go in – even though it IS crazy to take outfit pictures in the bushes before we go in.

I’m too darn old to be anything but real in my friendships, and too darn busy to fill my time with anyone who isn’t interested in being real right back.

Have you been blessed with great friendships like I’ve been? I hope that each and every one of you knows the beauty of a friend who loves you for being you. Who will drop anything and everything for you when you’re in need. Someone who doesn’t keep track of who is on top, or who has done more, or who is getting what out of the relationship. I pray that you’ll have a group of friends that will come around you as a support. And that you’ll be able to reciprocate, and give when it’s your turn as well, without thinking of what’s in it for you. I count my lucky stars daily for the amazing group that I get to call friends.

  1. Girl’s Nights Out are the best! And it sounds like you have some amazing friends. I love that you took a simple outfit and made it fabulous with those bright shoes and fun earrings! You look great!

  2. I fully agree! “What you put up with, you end up with” and “You can’t change the people around you. But you can change the people around you.” Get it? 🙂

  3. I SO agree!! I have the greatest and most honest friendships at {ahem} 40…they do get better with age.
You look stunning girl! Those legs *whistling*

  4. I so agree. And speaking of we need to see each other. The girls just asked about you and the kiddos. I can’t believe the summer is almost over…so sad and school is less then a month away.

Let’s see if we can get something on the calendar…next week?
