I’m usually one to lay the accessories on thick. I love adding layer upon layer, clinking and clanking as I go as they all swing around and bang together.
I stack those bracelets all up and down my arm. It’s an arm party going on each and every day on these limbs.
Giant earrings swing from my ears, and I generally wear at least one necklace, if not a few more all at once.
But when you’re wearing electric neon polka dots, it kinda feels right to keep the rest of the ensemble quiet. Doncha think? A little contrast of color, and I was done.
earrings – Wild Ruffle, shoes – JCrew, dress – Target
Psst! Have you entered this giveaway yet? I know you want to win $750 in prizes!!
Do you keep it simple when it comes to your accessories? Or do you layer them up like I usually do? Do you like to go bold with your color come summer time? Or perhaps even year round?
Polka Dots and Moonbeams, by Frank Sinatra
A country dance was being held in a garden
I felt a bump and heard an “Oh, beg your pardon”
Suddenly I saw polka dots and moonbeams
All around a pug-nosed dream
The music started and was I the perplexed one
I held my breath and said “May I have the next one?”
In my frightened arms, polka dots and moonbeams
Sparkled on a pug-nosed dream
There were questions in the eyes of other dancers
As we floated over the floor
There were questions but my heart knew all the answers
And perhaps a few things more
Now in a cottage built of lilacs and laughter
I know the meaning of the words “Ever after”
And I’ll always see polka dots and moonbeams
When I kiss the pug-nosed dream
