I love decorating at this time of year. When I’m not at the shop merchandising and decorating (click here to shop online), I’m redoing things at home.
And not only is the inside of my house undergoing a transformation, but my outside is too.
In case you’re in need of a little inspiration for your front porch this year (or front walk, as the case may be), I thought I’d include a few shots of not only MY house, but those of a couple friends too!
I took a vintage breadbox and had the top cut off to create a unique planter with a pretty patina for my front porch.
All of our window boxes are transformed from this into lush greens, courtesy of my hard working hubby.
And, of course, I had to incorporate the chalk board once again.
My vintage milk jug moved from here to in front of the garage doors. With the addition of a starry garland, some greens, spray painted sticks and some dogwood, it definitely feels festive.
Even a smaller front porch can make the Christmas transition easily. Mel’s space feels like it’s filled with magic. Her bistro set and pretty vintage tin is set off perfectly by the candy cane pillows.
A vintage sled practically screams snowy Christmas fun.
Mel took a window screen from the past and updated it with a jolly message.
Noel marquee lights are a great welcome on the front walk.
And how fun is this vintage mailbox filled with greenery?!
Not all Christmas decor has to be green and red – Tammy updated her front walk with a brightly colored bench and garland. The pots make the perfect pairing.
I’m in love with my new peace sign marquee on the front of our house. It’s a great alternative to traditional lights.
How do you decorate the outside of your home for the holidays?
