One of my favorite trends for spring is the athletic look that’s currently everywhere.

My favorite part about it is that you can mix dresses with a casual pair of kicks, or sparkly jewels with a sweatshirt dress. I’ve even been going without my beloved heels in favor of the sportier style (gasp!).

I guess it’s just my inner Sporty Spice coming out. She was always my favorite Spice Girl anyway. Did you have a favorite?

By the way, my mom gave me the baseball dress and lambskin jacket below in lieu of flowers when I was on bed rest recently (more about that here). She’s a pretty good gift giver, no? I mean, who needs more flowers that are just going to end up dying? These lovelies are sticking around for much longer than any bouquet ever would.

Also, if you were looking for more proof that I am currently the palest person on the planet, here you go. If I was naked, I’d completely blend in with my snowy surroundings. Luckily for you (and anyone else I may run into), I don’t spend too much time outside naked. 1. I’m personally a huge fan of the pale look. It just looks more healthy! And rest assured your skin will thank you for years to come too! 🙂 P.S. I love the colors in the necklace of your first look – reminds me of SPRING!

  2. Your mom has great taste!! And you will be the winner in the long run…I spent far too much time in the sun and have spent countless $ getting rid of dark spots and the like. But you? Gorgeous!

  3. Oh that dress is so cute!! Love it! And pale is just fine. My daughter has freckles, light skin, and reddish hair. I think she is the most beautiful girl on Earth. It is ok to rock pale skin(: Susan

  4. I so love that dress with the tights! I think I could rival you for pale skin, but I’ve got the dark hair which helps me look like I’ve got some color…even if it’s all on my head…
