Gypsy Girl

If you have read this blog for any amount of time, then you know that I’ve fallen in love with the local shop The Vintage Gypsy. Read through any of my outfit posts, and you’ll notice that almost every ensemble includes something from there.

There’s a reason why I love it so. Marie, the owner, combines a great eye for vintage decor with a talent for buying clothes and accessories that are totally fresh and modern with a vintage twist. Plus, she’s just a super cool girl, and she’s got some great employees too.

Now’s your chance to discover why I’ve been doing so much shopping there – the night of our Pop Up Shop, Marie will be hosting her own little party at her shop (right on Main Ave, just down the block from our event). There will be treats and wine, and $5 off every $25 spent.

Even if you’re not here in Minnesota, be sure to check out Marie’s Facebook page – she’s always showcasing her latest items there – and she ships just about everywhere!

  • When I was young, my mom always made our marinara from scratch. Truthfully, she made just about everything from scratch – and I just grew up thinking that was normal. I didn’t really realize that marinara was readily available in a jar until I was older. And so, I’ve always preferred the taste of the… [Continue Reading]

  • Life is catching up with me and I’m feelin it.  Running non-stop lately is taking it’s toll. I’m exhausted. • My poor husband. He’s truly concerned for his future with me. And my crazy memory loss. For instance, the other day we had a long conversation about a specific subject while on the phone. A half hour later, he arrived home, and I proceeded to dive right into the same conversation. Because I couldn’t remember… [Continue Reading]
