After talking about going to Minnehaha Falls for months, the day finally came when we could enjoy this classic Minneapolis park.
In amongst the hustle and bustle of the city, lyes a heavenly oasis. Beautiful trees of green, trails for exploring and the rushing waterfall draws in hundreds of nature lovers each and every season. Our group was also there to experience the surrey bikes. Little did we know, it’s an actual workout to run one of these things! I was happy to have two older daughters that day. They wanted to peddle the majority of the time… so I let them, of course. All that exercise made them enjoy their packed lunch a little more than a normal day. Which is good because it was a weird mish-mash of stuff haphazardly thrown in a bag. whew After lunch, the kids were excited to hike down and get a closer look of the waterfall. There we found a wading area. The kids quickly kicked off their shoes and jumped in, ready for the next adventure. The cool water was a perfect end to our outing that day. If you haven’t visited Minnehaha Falls, now you know why you should!
