Front Porch Bacon Cheddar Soup

September 17, 2015

Fall is officially on it’s way. The cool crisp air, colorful landscapes, and apple orchards are just a few things I l-o-v-e about fall.

Tis the season for my favorite cardigans, new denim (shown here and here), and riding boots. Hurrah!

I also get to cuddle under a blanket on the front porch and watch my babies ride up and down the street with their neighbor friends. They are never cold so the dropping temps don’t phase them or hinder their outside adventures.

I, on the other hand, am ALWAYS cold. Like, super duper chilly. So when I made a quick and easy meal for a few friends in need, I made enough for my 4 loves as well. Because why not share the love?

This recipe was written down for me from my friend’s memory {in about 5 seconds flat, might I add}. She didn’t give me a name so I’m calling it the Front Porch Bacon Cheddar Soup. This front porch meal-in-a-bowl was the perfect way to welcome the change in seasons.  …and shhh don’t tell your family but it’s so easy to make!

Long live mild fall temps! Let’s all start the praying for warm weather to stick around now! I’m dreading the cold that is to come.
