My mom and I took a last minute trip out to see my grandparents the other day.
When I say last minute, I mean my husband saw a fare sale, I got on the phone arranging all that needs to be arranged when a stay at home mom travels without her kids, and a couple of days later we flew out.
It was so lovely to see my family. I’ve always been a Grandpa’s girl. There’s a lot of room in my heart for family, but he holds a big chunk of that real estate.
And it was fun to spend some time alone with my mom. She and I don’t get much of that grown up one on one time these days.
One of the things I love about the east coast is the history – and the old buildings that are still around. Here in MN, we have some oldish architecture here and there, but it’s far more common in the east.
Buildings like Pappy G’s, where I took these photos. A little piece of America that’s been around for a couple hundred years. It’s nice to see that some things are built to last.
