It’s Bananas

I hate bananas.

I think my children should consider themselves lucky that I even allow them in the house – when I was younger I used to freak out if anyone opened one anywhere near me. They stink, they really do.

(I had a banana incident as a kid – I got sick to my stomach after eating one and it’s all I can think of when I smell them now).

So picture my joy when my son threw up bananas the other day.

All. Over. THE CAR. Seriously.

When I finished scrubbing first him down, and then the van, I wanted to get rid of my yucky attitude. So I put on a pretty, swingy dress for Day 4 of my 7 Days/7 Ways blazer remix (you can see Day 1 here, Day 2 here, and Day 3 here).

It didn’t matter that the only place I was headed to was the school carpool line and that nobody was going to se me.

I needed a pick me up. It did the trick. It’s hard to feel grumpy in a dress that makes you want to spin.

Side note – these pictures are taken in front of my neighbors house. He’s out of town for two months, and like the creepster that I am, I headed over there and took outfit pictures on the front porch, because I love the colors of the stone out there. Ssh – it’s our little secret!

  1. Adorable! I love that dress!
And I too am not the biggest fan of bananas. I can handle them, on their own. But when you start mixing them with things they over power everything!
I hope it all came nice and clean!

  2. Cate, I’m officially in love. Gorgeous dress!!!
And my son has an aversion to bananas as well…this am, I tried to pack one in his lunch and he told me they “scared him”.

  3. Love, love, love this dress!! Sorry about the banana incident! Was this the day of the worm in the banana? No wonder you don’t like them!!

  4. I’ve been MIA for awhile, but I’m back and just caught up on your 7 Days/7 Ways. I love all the looks so far. You really can pull off just about anything! Hope all is well!

  5. So pretty! I’ve never had my son puke in my car, but he has puked all over me. In the middle of the mall. Yeah, that was awesome. Unfortunately I didn’t have a sweet dress like this ti help change my attitude.
