I’m often asked what’s in my arsenal of beauty products.
So today, I’m wild about beauty.
A couple of weeks ago, I shared a few of my other favorite products, including my go-to foundation and mascara, but here are a couple others that also make the grade. And yes, though yesterday I showed you a super zoomed in shot of my wrinkles, it doesn’t mean I’m not doing my best to ensure they don’t get worse!
I’d be remiss if I wrote about beauty products and didn’t mention the special offer Yes to wants to give you on their body washes (see my review here). Buy 1, get 1 50% off using code Y2LINQ.
On a typical day, I start my makeup routine with Dr. Jart+ BB Balm. It evens out tone with providing a base SPF for my fair skin.
I’m also loving Celfix DNA Youth Recovery Body Lotion. The kind folks over at Celfix sent it to me about a month ago, and it suddenly occurred to me that while I spend a lot of time taking care of my face, I rarely think about the sun damage to the rest of my body. I’ve been applying this to my hands, neck, chest and knees (have you ever noticed knees get saggy as the years pass?!), and hoping it’ll work it’s magic on me.
If you are not using the Colorscience palette for covering uneven tones and under eye circles, then you’re missing out. It’s bar none the best product I’ve used for the job. The difference is that you’re able to mix the tones to create the perfect coverage, whether your spot is red, brown, blue, or anywhere in between. It’s available here in MN at my doctor’s office, and I’ll be buying it again and again.
I was sent this bottle of ASAP Super C Serum awhile back – it smells delicious and makes my skin feel like silk. It’s full of vitamin C and antioxidants to prevent premature aging (score – I do NOT want to age prematurely!!). And did I mention that it smells delicious and makes my skin feel like silk? Because it does. It really does.
For years, I used nothing but Bobbi Brown bronzer and blush. But then my children kept dropping them and I got sick of paying the super high price. MAC has been my go-to replacement ever since, and I’m just as happy with them! The bronzer makes this pale girl look less ghostly (see my tips for faking a tan here), and the blush adds just the right amount of color to my cheeks.
