My children and I often have conversations about making choices.
I believe everything is a choice – we can choose to be joyful, we can choose kindness, and perhaps most importantly, we can make wise or unwise choices.
In a perfect example of “do as I say, not as I do,” I made the not-so-wise choice to tramp around in a mud pit in my beautiful suede wedges.
(To my credit, the ground looked firmer than it was.) (But I stayed in the mud even after realizing I was slowly sinking, taking away that credit I just gave myself.)
Happily the shoes cleaned up (mostly) well. At least well enough to be worn again. And again and again.
And next time, I’ll stay on the concrete when getting the outfit shot (I’m a liar – I’ll probably forget my lesson and do this again).
And in other news, I’ve recovered from the big event Saturday, having fallen asleep early that night, and treating myself to a long bath. It was an amazing day – I was astounded at the number of you who came out. I’m already looking forward to the next one!
Oh! And speaking of looking forward… there are some exciting things happening here at Wild Ruffle. The future looks pretty bright. Click here for a sneak peek of what I’m talking about.
