Now that Thanksgiving has passed us, I’m wild about all the holiday parties on our calendar this December.

Want to know how I get my skin party ready?

Well, I’m definitely going to fake a tan (learn how here). But before I get do that, I start with what’s underneath.

Here are just a couple of items in my beauty arsenal – the ones I use before I ever apply an ounce of makeup.

skin products to get party readyMy latest faves in the beauty box?

First up is EverDeep Intensive Anti-Wrinkle Serum. All EverDeep products are paraben free, phthalate free,  dermatologist tested, hypoallergenic, and non-comedogenic. So basically, they don’t put in any of the icky stuff, which means you can rest assured knowing that just the good stuff is soaking into your skin – like Algasome, which helps to nourish, strengthen and visibly repair aging skin. Gotta love that.

Another new love of mine is the Simply Skin RX Renew Exfoliating Mask. I put it on a few times a week after washing my face, leave it on for about 10-15 minutes, then rinse and finish with some cream. I love how it goes to work for me, sloughing off the dry skin (which I am so prone to during the winter months). And the glycolic acid promotes collagen and elastin growth. AND it’s pretty reasonably priced, at only $39!

The nights I’m not using my mask, I like to scrub with Vasanti Brighten Up, which arrived in my Birchbox this past month. Microderm crystals buff away that dead skin, but they’ve also included healing ingredients to brighten you up without making you red.

I’m also loving Aubrey EveryDay Basics Moisturizer, an organic product for a mere $8.95. Made with ingredients like Argan Oil, Aloe Vera, Horsetail and Coltsfoot, it promises to improve elasticity and skin texture, hydrate and smooth. Plus, it’s gluten free, which is great for this family.

I’m never going to give up using my DIY Coconut Oil scrub, but these products are a great addition to the nighttime routine. What are your go-to products?

Psst, by the way, if you’re local – don’t forget to stop by The Vintage Gypsy in downtown Prior Lake tomorrow for the a little punchy/Wild Ruffle trunk show! We’ll be there from 9-noon.
