By the time this post goes live, I’ll be on day 3 of my first ever cleanse.
(don’t go asking me for my program or plan – I’m totally making it up as I go along, drinking veggie and fruit loaded smoothies twice a day and a broth based soup loaded with veggies each night)
I had the loveliest of friends bring me the loveliest of meals for two weeks while I recovered from some minor surgery. And with each of the lovely meals they brought dessert.
More specifically, most of them brought cookies.
By the last day of my bed rest, I was in a cookie stupor. This was not my lovely friends’ fault – I totally chalk it up to the fact that I am a woman with no will power when it comes to baked goods.
So I’m ridding my body of some of the extra carbs I fed it, and putting extra nutrients in instead. Don’t worry – I’m still getting plenty of calories (this is NOT a diet, just a restart).
The reason I’m sharing all this with you is that I started typing this post… and sat…. and stared at the screen… and then sat a little longer.
I had nothing to say. Nada. Zip. Zilch.
My cookie coma had taken over my brain like an intelligence sucking zombie. It was my final straw. I had to take a break from the typing until I was fully functional again.
So I’m back – and here’s an outfit I wore. And it was black and white with funny socks (also seen here). Enjoy. 🙂
socks – c/o Foot Cardigan, pants – Target, sweater – The Vintage Gypsy, tee – J Crew, necklace – Wild Ruffle
By the way, have you entered to win our $2,000 giveaway yet? Yeah – it’s pretty great. Don’t miss it!
