Dressing Down

It’s been awhile since I did a re-mix.

And while this isn’t officially another one (take a look at previous 7 Days/7 Ways remixes here), it is a complete re-do of the last time I wore it. Oh, how my husband hated that ombre hair of mine!

I love that I can take something and wear it with sky high heels one day, then turn around and make it something casual the next. Further proof that you don’t need a huge closet full of clothes to make your style feel fresh and new all the time.

Though that doesn’t seem to stop me from shopping… what is it about new clothes that just seems to have a gravitational pull for me when it comes to spending? I guess I’m in the right business for it. I get to do shopping but not all of it goes in my closet. I get the best part of shopping – the browsing and selecting something new and fun – without all the repercussions to my wallet. I’m guessing my husband loves that part. 😉

  1. That dress is amazing!!! I basically ONLY buy pieces that can be worn in many ways. And by “many ways” I mean I must be comfortable and cozy at all times! hahah
Have you ever written about shopping habits in general? How many items, what items, purchased per season etc? I’m so interested in that sort of info from my idol fashion bloggers.

  2. Layering scarves!! So genius, don’t know why I never thought of that!
I agree that dressing up/dressing down the same pieces are so fabulous. Unfortunately, that does not stop me from shopping, HOWEVER, it’s a great tip for packing, and I travel a lot, so I like to think that offsets my shopaholic syndrome 🙂
