Ooh, how I love introducing you all to our Pop Up Shop participants!
Next on the list is Crown Leatherworks, and I hope you like this shop as much as I do. There are some seriously gorgeous pieces to be found here.
Julia Jordan-Rose started learning about leather with she was in high school and discovered a love for it. It’s natural, durable, and versatile, and she can make just about anything with it (she gets particularly excited about working with leather that’s already scarred).
Now a marketing student at the University of Northwestern – St Paul, Julia believes that working with leather is symbolic of God’s work in her life. He can take something unwieldy and dysfunctional, and carefully and gently create it into something beautiful and useful to His purpose. Isn’t that an amazing thought?!
Although she sometimes uses vintage and recycled leather, Julia primarily works with new, vegetable tanned leather. She likes to challenge herself to make accessories that span a wide range of style, from rustic and distressed to trim and classy.
Julia’s personal mission statement comes from Colossians 3:17, “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
She has joy in the work she does, and it shows!
Don’t miss visiting Crown Leatherworks at our event on Thursday, May 8th from 5:30-9pm at City Hall in Prior Lake!
