Because I always think it’s fun to take a peek inside other people’s homes, I’m giving you another look into mine.
I recently showed you the entryway, you’ve seen my master bath, the bar area, the family room, and the downstairs bath.
And here’s a quick look at our upstairs hallway. More specifically, the ‘linen closet.’ The linen closet that’s actually not a closet at all.
When we built this home, all I could think about is the lack of storage we had in our last one. There was not a spot for anything, and we had to get creative.
With that in mind, I wanted to be sure that we had as much space to put things as possible here, and that they were all as user friendly as possible.
We didn’t have a linen closet at the old place, but visions of other linen closets, with towels and sheets stuffed everyone and tumbling out as soon as you open the door were in my head as we planned.
Because of that, we decided to forgo a traditional closet and do drawers instead! This way, we can have form, function, and good looks all rolled into one!
All of my sheets and towels for our upstairs bedrooms are easily stored in the deep drawers, and I still had space for the shelves, which include all kinds of personal belongings.
I’m so happy with how it turned out! I’d definitely do it this way again.
