Look at these faces.

MOA ready for our day o'fun

All smiles as we skipped happily into the Mall of America, ready for our Best Day Ever!  Giggles, running {mom said stop running}, more giggles, then skipping {mom didn’t say anything about skipping} ~ hurry up mom!

Looking for a fun filled day of fun?  Look no more ~  Mall of America is here!  It’s got everything you could ever want to exhaust your little energetic bundles of love.  Check out our photo diary for proof…

First off:  MUST hit Barbie The Dreamhouse Experience IMMEDIATELY.

MOA Barbie car

MOA waiting for Barbie

2 little girls running across the entire mall in anticipation to see the fabulousness… and Wait.  What?  Noon?  It’s 11.  Humm, what do we do for an hour?  But I didn’t fret… why?  Because we are in the land of plenty.  So many options to occupy 60 measly minutes.

Like posing in front of the Barbie sign.

OK… that photo-shoot only took 3 mins.  Now what?

Let’s take a trip down the always-entertaining-escalators to Nickelodeon Universe for a few rides.  The All-day Unlimited Rides Wristband gives you the ease of riding a few rides {kid’s happy}~  then shop {mom’s happy}~ then back to a few rides {kid’s happy again}.  Totally worth it!

All the while… Cate got to spend some quality time with her little dude.  Moose Mountain Adventure Golf style.  I think Davis totally rocked this course ~ but only after he got over the fact that it was on the third floor over looking the park.  So fun!

The Barbie Dreamhouse is now open… Whoopee!

Interactive games were scattered throughout the Dreamhouse.  The pink bracelet you wear made it personal.  You swipe, your name comes up and you play.  Perfect and easy for kids of all ages.  Here, Evelyn is making a cupcake in Barbie’s kitchen.

Evie kept running back to the winter wonderland room.  Could it be because she was calling it the “Frozen” room?  Hummm.  yep.

Sadie, Cate, Davis and Evie all working on puzzles in Barbie’s Living room.  Crisp pictures quickly became a challenge because the pink haze was ever-so present in each room.

Time for some Bach on a pink piano.  Perfectly Barbie-rific.

The Dreamhouse Experience even had a beach.  They watched Barbie and her friends play in the ocean, they bought and sold ice cream to each other, they lounged in the pink sun, it was a fantastic day of make-believe.

Drum roll please…

Barbie’s closet.  Indulge in the awesome.  I swear Cate and I heard angels singing.  I had to get a pic of the interactive mirror ~ me wearing one of Barbie’s dresses!!

Barbie’s bedroom was complete with a giant jewelry box, dance party shoe room, and toilet with a dolphin popping out of it!  That was a highlight for the kids.  Weird, but a highlight non the less.

The girly girls sat down for the complete Barbie experience with a make-over.  Glitter shadow and lip gloss made their little smiles shine.

We were having so much fun, the hours flew by way too fast.  Oh man, we gotta go pick up the older siblings from school.

But we couldn’t leave without one last treat.  One for them ~ Fro-go!  And one for us ~ Clothes!  Stay tuned to see what we bought!

MOA Freshens MOA shopping

Skip forward to the evening hours… since I already had an All-day Rides Wristband… why not have an extended day ‘o fun?  I made 1 great playdate into 2!  I came back for dinner and rides with my oldest.

Big Girls Night Out!

Adaline and I both love rides and we love to shop.  Why not go somewhere that has it ALL ~ is open year round ~ and at night?!  Again, perfect.

The Mall of America Visa card came in handy everywhere in the mall.  The food court, Sephora and even Forever 21.

My favorite ride:  The Ninja turtles.  Addie’s favorite ride:  Sponge Bob roller-coaster.

I’m too old for the Sponge Bob one… whirly spinning ~ bleh.  But I hung in there twice.  Yay me!  We rode the Ninja Turtles about 6 times because Addie really wanted to do 360s but couldn’t ever get her wings to turn far enough.  {Bragger alert} True story ~ the ride-attendant said that I was the first mom she had ever seen get her seat to spin 360 degrees so many times in a row and still be loving it.  I impressed her I think.  My job is done here.

We rode the ferris wheel as a nice calm finish to our night.  The lights were on, the park was all a’glow and my tween was all smiles.  I had a pretty awesome view from every angle.  Mother/daughter bonding time ~ truly priceless.  Can I keep you 12, Addie?  *tear

And because a 12 year old doesn’t go anywhere without a few duck-lipped selfies… here ya go world ~ snaps from Adaline’s iphone that went into my icloud…

Ever had a exceptional day where at the end of it you fall into bed exhausted yet fondly remembering each treasured experience?  Well, that is just what I did.

Best day EVER!  Thank you Mall of America!

All of the events, tickets and MOA Visa card c/o Mall of America but the Indulge in the Awesome was truly my pleasure!!  And I will do it again all on my own!

  1. It’s been years since I’ve been to the Mall of America but I used to go pretty often when I went to college in St. Cloud! Looks like y’all had a great time!

  2. So fun! The inner child in me really wants to go to that Barbie dreamhouse experience, lol. I might have to steal my friend’s daughter and go!

  3. I need to look into this MOA! I’m sure the drive can’t be that bad. :/ 😮
And your little one is adorable! What a little ham! Love her personality. xox

  6. I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own blog and was curious what all is needed to get set up?
I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny?
I’m not very web smart so I’m not 100% positive.
Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Appreciate it
