Wild Ruffle is passionate about giving back. That, you all know.

And we are excited to announce that our next Pop Up Shop {Saturday Nov.1st 9am-1pm at Prior Lake City Hall} is donating 20% of the profit of our sales from shopwildruffle.com when you use the code: WAR from now through October 31st. So get over there and shop shop shop!

WAR‘s mission: “Women At Risk, International unites and educates women to create circles of protection and hope around women at risk through culturally sensitive, value-added intervention projects.”

Here is our friend Salli Armour’s personal testimony:

Women at Risk (WAR) was founded by my friend (and personal hero!), Becky McDonald, in 2006… and today is fighting a battle against modern day slavery – human trafficking – in over 40 countries.  Through culturally sensitive projects and partnerships, WAR rescues, redeems and restores women who had been abused, trafficked and exploited.
WAR Intl
Last January, my husband, Aaron, and I traveled to Thailand with Women at Risk (WAR) and were forever changed.  We met and got to know women, rescued women, reached out to women enslaved in Bangkok brothels, and learned from the amazing WAR staff and partners.  The highlight of our trip was a banquet that our team hosted in honor of over 200 rescued women.  We held their babies, heard their laughter, and celebrated their freedom!  It was so humbling to see lives that had been so dramatically transformed – and Aaron and I are honored to join WAR however we are able!
When you purchase a handmade product from WAR, you are personally sharing in the fight against human trafficking – empowering survivors to live and work with dignity and hope.  I’m so thankful that Wild Ruffle has chosen Women at Risk as their event charity, and I will have dozens of items made by at-risk and rescued women around the world available for purchase! Each penny goes right back to WAR… and to the very women who made these products.  I would love to talk with you, share more about WAR and help you shop with a purpose. See you there!  ~Salli
