I alluded to this yesterday, but I am one sleepy lady. We spent the weekend having far too much fun with amazing friends and their husbands (who are also amazing friends) at the most beautiful location a girl could dream up.
I had tons of fun – started out by golfing with Ed and another couple, then a delicious meal, followed by a bonfire, a walk the next day, food, more food, wine, chatting, guns (you should see my girl Anna handle a firearm), more food, and fun.
Sleep? That one didn’t make the list of things to do.
No worries though – I have my whole life to sleep. Who needs rest anyway? There was no way I was spending time doing that when I could soak in the time with friends. I may be playing catch up now, but I wouldn’t change a thing. We have a fabulous group of friends – I count my lucky stars over and over again that we all came together and found one another. They are a blessing in my life.
Do you make a point of getting away for a grown ups weekend with friends? If not, I’d highly encourage you to do so! There’s nothing quite like the rejuvenation you get from soaking up friendship.
