Last week was full of Christmas splendor for our family, as I hope it was for yours.
Our days were filled with food, family, friends and lots of festivities.
Here’s a quick rundown of the Hiveley family Christmas Eve tradition. First we track down Santa at MOA, get a quick pic and bid him well on his long night of travels. The excitement and anticipation is enough to put a smile on even Scrooge’s face!
We then head downtown Minneapolis to a family favorite. Fogo de Chao. My girls love steak. And not just any steak. Rare top-grade steak. It’s seriously strange watching a 5 year old turn her nose up to fully cooked steak, this picky eater will only accept a cut with a deep red hue. The Iowa farm-girl in me has taught my little chicks well. Yum! After the fabulous feast, we roll ourselves to church.
Time to celebrate our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with our church family. And if I haven’t mentioned before, our church rocks. I mean totally rocks! Praise and worship fill our joyful souls from head to toe. We leave feeling the love and purpose of celebrating Christmas.
All of the warm fuzzies on Christmas Eve were echoed in my Outfit of the Day. I chose to wear the coziest poncho on earth. It was hard not to run my fingers through it constantly. But luckily I refrained. Because that’s just weird and awkward for anyone else around me. 😉
