Sometimes Simple Wins Out

Sometimes keeping it simple wins out.

Case and point. The other day I was a bit chilled by the unusually cool Minnesota spring. And as I often do, I mix-matched a few crazy layers to feed both my creative juices and my goose-bumped body. But strangely, I wasn’t feeling it. I had to strip down and start over. Does this ever happen to anyone else but me?

This time I kept to easy lines and simple colors. No muss. No fuss.

Black, white and blazing blue {ok and a peek of canary yellow, but only because I’m a huge fan of the color wheel}. A cold shoulder peasant top threw on in one swoop, then simply countered by bright skinnies and fun platform heels. It was comfortable yet bold and exciting. The pop of color really was the show stopper here. I should wear these more often.

I went with it and ran to the shop. …and quite honestly, I needed to get a move on. I’m sure I was already late for something because sadly that’s the name of my game. I’m working on it but in the mean time, I will continue to create simple options for those mornings I need to be quick.
