What? Soap Nuts You Say

October 20, 2015

Soap Nuts. What are soap nuts?

Well, let me tell you a little bit about Ash N Bran’s. This company has come up with a new approach on how to clean your clothing. The all-natural laundry detergent {a.k.a. soap nuts} is the perfect way to tell your family that you care for their skin. Ash N Brans

Here’s how Ash N Bran’s explains themselves:

 What are soap nuts? “Sapindus Mukorossi” also referred to as “soap berries”. As common as they are called soap nuts, they are actually a berry that grows on a Sapindus Mukorossi tree located in Nepal, India. That means they are nut allergy safe! This berry produces a natural saponin, which has a natural detergent-like ability in that they bind to fats. Its simplicity in cleaning clothes without any manufacturing or altering something so natural as a berry, makes for a safe, gentle way to clean clothes. This product has been around for many years, long before synthetic, liquid detergents. It’s pure, premium, clean.

Sounds pretty amazing right? I’m here to say that it was easy! I didn’t even presoak the berries. I just put 6 nuts into the small cotton wash bag and threw it in with the dirty clothes. That’s IT! {FYI… I have a High Efficiency washer and it worked perfectly}

products we love-2

Ash N Bran’s soap nuts have so many plus’ you’ll be amazed. They’re considered anti-microbial, odor eliminators, and hypoallergenic, just to name a few. They are also beneficial to people with psoriasis, eczema and sensitive baby’s skin. The gentleness of this ‘detergent’ also acts as a fabric preserver.

The small bag = 80 loads while the Medium bag = 160 loads. Now that’s loads and loads of clean clothes!
