Part Deaux

November 17, 2015

Yesterday, I posted look one in my mini-remix of this classic turtleneck dress.

Today, I’m giving you the second look. TaDa!

It’s seriously so easy to wear, I could bring you approximately 1 bajillion different ways to wear it. But for now, I’m sticking to just the two. Though I’ve worn it so many different ways – perhaps I should just carry my camera around every day with me and keep snapping photos of it. 😉

The necklace gets me tons of compliments. Alas, we don’t carry it in the shop – it’s my mom’s, from the 1970s. Drat. If only we could find the updated version somewhere. If you spot it out there, let us know!

The blazer is from our next door neighbor, The Vintage Gypsy. Shoes are a Stuart Weitzman classic, and tights are DKNY. I love DKNY tights because they last so stinking long. I’m pretty sure these have been in my wardrobe since before I had children, and they’re still as good as new.

Come to think of it, the shoes have been around just as long. You can’t go wrong with a classic pair of pointy toed black heels. And since Stuart Weitzman makes some of the best, it’s worth investing in. When you find a staple item that you know is never going to go out of fashion, you can feel good about spending more on it. In fact, you’ll be happy you did, knowing that a high quality item is going to stand the test of time.
