As soon as the snow is melted, I will be storing away my winter boots for the season. Until next year, my pretties!
I’ve been browsing and shopping online for what’s new. What should I be wearing this spring? The time for snow boots has past but it’s not quite time for all those gorgeous strappy sandals. The good news for me is that I live for shopping! And that’s just what I did for YOU.
I have spent hours and hours researching new trends and figuring out what styles I like best. I tell my husband that it’s all for work. My job is so rough, you guys, I tell ya… the things I do for you. 😉
I’ve compiled a few hot styles. Each with both a splurge and a steal of a deal option. For those of you who invest in their footwear and those of you who are mindful of your budget. I kinda land somewhere in between.
SPLURGE: Paul Green Carolann Oxford (on sale for $99) // Frye Karissa Mule ($278) // Steve Madden Forsaken Peep Toe Booties ($169.95) // Rebecca Minkoff Espadrille Wedge ($195) // Rachel Zoe Collette Fashion Sneaker ($268)
STEAL: Report Signature Oxford (on sale for $15.99!!) // Bella Vita Arno Mule (on sale for $54.99!) // Chinese Laundry Mesh Bootie ($89.99) //Liliana Gladiator Bootie ($33.90!!) // K-SWISS Belmont Fashion sneaker (on sale for $44!)
Trends for Spring 2016:
FASHION SNEAKERS: Like I said last week, a big trend right now in Hollywood are basic white sneakers. This is a pretty easy trend to jump on. You probably already have a pair in your closet! Just remember white is the point, so if yours are grungy, maybe it’s time to refresh your look with a crisp new pair.
SANDAL BOOTIE: Booties are still hot so they are moving into spring as well… the transition is subtle yet cool. Make sure your bootie shows a little toe. The peep toe bootie is a must this spring.
LACE UP WEDGE: Gladiators are proving to be strong again this season. Try finding a gladiator or lace up wedge to spice up your look.
METALLIC OXFORD: I’ve always been a sucker for leather oxfords. Now I have reason to be! They are shiny!! I’m in love with the metallics of this season. Rose gold is big this spring so be on the look out for this delicate metallic as you shop around. The oxford pictured above is one of my favorites. The pointed toe will elongate my legs yet the muted metallic hue will bring interest to any outfit I pair it with.
And last but not least… THE MULE: If you thought the mule was gone for good… you were wrong… it’s BACK baby! And it’s everywhere. Mostly shown with that ol’ chunky heel, making these a comfy option for long work days. Slide on those mules and go.
I can’t wait to tell you all about the many adorable strappy sandals and flats out there! But for now let’s stick to the ‘in-between’ weather styles. What to wear during the winter boot to sandal transition… one thing at a time.
