We want to know what you think? Thumbs up or down for this year’s color picks?
The number one color is Greenery. And by greenery, Pantone is focusing on the all-natural. It’s about finding ways to unplug and get back to nature, as well as “going green” in your everyday life. They are hoping this color of the year makes you think: less technology, less additives, less junk. Minimalism, organic products, and living environmentally conscience isn’t new to 2017 but it is definitely on it’s way to being main stream. Pantone is embracing it this year. Bringing the outdoors IN. The Home Decor world and the top Fashion runways inspire and reflect the 2017 Top Colors. It’s up to you to decide how you’d like use it. Do you freshen up your walls and pillows or do you reflect the trending colors in your clothes and accessories?
Each year I try to add a little newness to my life. I hate to paint so I generally update pillows and add bits and pieces to my wardrobe. I know every year I will buy whatever blue hue is considered IN because I’m a blue lover true and true, but sometimes I surprise myself and grab a crazy color out of my box. It’s a coin toss if the wild card color ends up being a winner in the end or not… but you only live once; it’s fun to try, right?
In case you missed it, check us out on Fox 9 The Buzz as we talk about transitioning into spring with the new color palette.
This week in the shop: We are unboxing fun new spring merchandise. We can’t wait for you to see it all! Of course I grabbed a few new pieces but since my arms and legs are butt white – I didn’t pick the fun-in-the-sun pieces. I unconsciously picked the ‘cover my body because I’m freezing’ new styles we got in! HA! Transitioning into Spring fashion in MN is so tough in February. So more pics to come of our new goodies that actually show signs of the fresh new 2017 color palette… Or you can stop by the shop anytime and see them first! We’d love to see you!
In the mean time, check out this light denim dress (a light version of Niagara) paired with our new simple grey vest! And since I’m not a pink person – I added a Pink Yarrow shade to my lips. Remember, use this color palette to your advantage and strengths – make the colors work for you!
