Whenever anyone asks me how I’m doing, “Good!” is the first thing that automatically comes out of my mouth. It’s like I’m on autopilot. I’m pre-programmed to say that life is swell.
And for real, my life is pretty swell. Usually.
But lately… well, let’s just say that the last couple of weeks have been weird.
A series of strange unrelated incidents have left me feeling exhausted (it doesn’t help that I don’t sleep when I’m feeling blue) and just not myself.
The other day was feeling particularly difficult, when in walked an angel to the Wild Ruffle shop. I swear, this girl is a ray of sunshine every time she comes in. She is as sweet as can be, and such an encourager. She’s teeny and tiny but big on love. And the Lord must have known that I’d need her sunny smile that day, because in she came and my day was instantly lifted.
It was a gift to be able to chat with her and see the good for a bit again.
So thank you Jesus for angels here on earth. And thank you for new spring clothes that make me feel as though sunny days will soon be here to stay – though today I’m wearing this sleeveless dress all layered up with a sweater because SNOW is supposedly on its way again. I’ll believe it when I see it, since last time they promised over a foot it didn’t even flurry.
In just a couple of weeks, I’ll be wearing things like this in the sunshine… can’t wait!
