So, we have these hats that everybody seems to want. It’s taken us by surprise, but hey – we are happy to keep them coming. You want Minnesota patch hats? We’ll make them for you!
Since I don’t sew, our strategy thus far has been that our shop employees cut out the patches, I iron them on, and then Tammy sews them on.
The only problem occurs when Tammy heads out of town when our shipment of hats arrive… and with people waiting, they need to get done right away.
After months of telling her that there was no way I was going to put those babies on (I just KNEW I’d ruin them all), it was time for me to learn.
Tammy patiently showed me how. And I sucked. Do you know how hard it is to sew through those suckers? Minnesota is a weird shape, you guys. And baseball hats are not exactly a flat surface to be working with. I was painstakingly slow at it, and seriously not any good. Yep – Avery is now the proud owner of a red, white, and blue one because it was too terrible to sell to a person who actually paid for it.
The good news is that I sucked less with each hat. And now? I am kind of loving doing it. I can whip one out with ease, and fairly quickly too. I have to say, I’m pretty stinking proud of myself. I’m sure the magic will wear off soon and I won’t get so excited to sit down to do it. But for now – it’s hats, hats, and more hats for me!
If you want your own Minnesota patch baseball cap, click here! They usually sell out as soon as they hit the sales floor, so ordering online is your safest bet to secure one (just enter code PICKUP at checkout to save on shipping costs and pick up in our Prior Lake store).
In other news, I’m in love with all the new dresses that just came in, including this one. A bunch of our new dresses are just $32, which I think is pretty crazy low, right?!
